Featuring the world première of three choral works
newCHOIR perform Britten's Ceremony of Carols alongside A Wonderful Mystery by Jan Wilke, and a triptych of world premières of Matthew's choral music, including a new commission from newCHOIR, Veni, Veni! and existing christmas works, O Magnum Mysterium and Adam Lay Ybounden (2024).

UPCOMING CONCERT
Delighted to have not one, but three new Advent/Christmasy choral pieces performed in this upcoming Christmas concert by newCHOIR, who very kindly commissioned a new work from me earlier this year.
Titled, Veni, Veni! the commissioned work, for choir and harp, sets a hybrid text of George Herbert's, The Call, and paraphrases of the advent O antiphons.
The other two of my works in the programme are short settings of O Magnum Mysterium (2024) and Adam Lay Ybounden (2024, rev. 2025 to include harp), both of which will also be recieving their first performances.
The concert also features the ever favourite, Ceremony of Carols, by Benjamin Britten, and A Wonderful Mystery, by German composer, Jan Wilke. Conducted by my dear friend, Benedict Goodall - Musician!
